OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 307!

Hi everyone: It's day 307 of omad! For the last three months, I have taking MSM for grey hair reversal along with blackstrap molasses and Foti. I have noticed that the MSM (MethylSulphonyMethane powder) has not only helped with my grey hair it has actually eliminated my joint pain. In fact that is what it is typically used for. No more joint pain for me. I take a 1/4 teaspoon twice a day. Here is some info on MSM aka the beauty supplement. Sulfur is one of the most under-appreciated nutrients. The nutrient MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) is a naturally-occurring Sulfur compound found in all vertebrates, including humans and about 34% of MSM is Sulfur. However, MSM plays a much larger role in our body than just a Sulfur donor. It actually helps with Sulfur metabolism and better incorporation of Sulfur throughout our body. Another one of important benefits of Sulfur is improving our body's ability to make antioxidants such as glutathione (one of the most important antioxidants). In a perfect world, we could get MSM from food and obviously, that would be the best and healthiest option. Unfortunately, we don't live in a perfect world and most of the food we eat these days are very low on MSM or we just don't eat the kind of foods that are rich in MSM anymore such as collagen or keratin. Therefore, in order for us to have healthy levels of MSM in our body; we need to take natural supplements of it. Studies show that MSM is very safe and can be taken at a very high dosage. Effective amounts of MSM are between 1.5 to 6 grams and if taken at a higher dosage side effects could cause: Intestinal discomfort Swelling of the ankles Mild skin rashes.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 306!


Hi everyone: It's day 306 of omad! Many people have asked me about the advantages of intermittent fasting. I love omad because it is so simple. It is the simplest diet on this planet next to the carnivore diet. The carnivore diet...well...you just eat meat whenever you are hungry. No calorie counting. No macro counting. So more about intermittent fasting. I have saved so much time cooking because I am only preparing one meal. It is free. I have saved so much money. So many diets ask you to spend money on special foods, not this one. You buy whatever foods you like. The best part is that you can eat large meals, enjoy the foods you love and still lose weight! Can't beat that!
Today's delicious meal was teriyaki chicken wings, corn, and a huge mango. I have not had corn is so long. I stayed from corn when I was experimenting with the keto diet. Now that I am back to omad exclusively, I will be eating more corn.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 305!

Hi everyone: It's day 305 of omad! Today's meal was steak. This was absolutely a carnivore diet meal. I had two platinum tenderloin steaks that totaled two pounds. I felt so full and satisfied. I'm at a point in my weight loss that I eat whatever I want. Today I wanted steak! Not everything works for everyone but I have incorporated omad, keto and carnivore. They all work for me and eating this way certainly adds variety to my life.

What is the carnivore diet? Simplified...You eat only animal foods. Fruit and vegetables are restricted. You can eat as many burgers, chicken, eggs, bacon, meat, steak you can get your hands on. The beauty of this diet is the meat makes you feel very full and satisfied. One drawback you will find that you may not be eating enough.

What is the keto diet? The ketogenic diet is a high-fat, adequate-protein, low-carbohydrate diet that in medicine is used primarily to treat difficult-to-control epilepsy in children. The diet forces the body to burn fats rather than carbohydrates.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 304!


Hi everyone: It's day 304 of omad! I have met people that have been doing omad for years and love it. I love it also. As I have mentioned numerous times. It has truly become a lifestyle for me. The people that have been doing omad for years have stated that they will never go back to their old eating pattern. I absolutely can understand why. The benefits are absolutely fantastic. The weight loss and maintenance is the number one benefit. Many also say that they have followed omad for years explain that they have kept the weight off, feel great, and have the energy they desire. If you are thinking about trying omad aka the one meal a day diet, I would recommend trying it out for a 3 month period. Taking it one day at a time is so important. 
Today's meal was a keto meal. I had platinum tenderloin steak. This steak was so tender and juicy that the meat melted in my mouth. I also had chicken cracklings and berries for dessert. My meal was so good!

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 303! Attending birthday parties!

Hi everyone: It's day 303 of omad! Today I attended my niece's birthday party. She turned 7 today! Parties is another reason why I love omad! I fasted for 18 hours and allowed myself a 6-hour eating so that I could socialize and eat without the pressure of the 4 hour window. Omad is so flexible. I didn't worry too much today about what I ate. I didn't consume any alcohol because I'm not much of a drinker and this was a kids birthday party. We all sat outside and snacked on chips. Then dinner was served buffet style. The food was Chinese food from the Mandarin. I had a little bit of everything. Dessert was a chocolate and vanilla birthday cake. I also had some fruit for dessert and a decaffeinated coffee. It was a wonderful feeling eating with family and friends and not having to worry about what I ate or the calories or gaining weight. No guilt was allowed at this party! I wore my size 4 shorts and I felt great. My tummy wasn't hanging over my shorts. I had no problem crossing my legs. I didn't feel any aches and pains. I didn't feel tired after I ate. That's all gone now, as I reflect on last year, on this very day last year 2017. I am at a good place with my weight. I am grateful that I have found a way to eat and still maintain my weight loss with zero stress. Life is so good. I wish I had found omad/intermittent years ago.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 302!

Hi everyone: It's day 302 of omad! Many people have asked me if omad aka one meal a diet is really a diet. Actually, I consider omad a lifestyle. It's a new way of eating which has become a habit. Eating multiple times a day can also be considered a lifestyle also but in my case eating multiple meals caused me to gain weight. I feel that eating this way feels like not dieting at all. I have heard many people say that technically it is a diet because any eating pattern is considered a diet. 

The fact that I can eat whatever I want and not feel deprived makes this a very easy diet/lifestyle. Not depriving myself actually makes me feel like I'm not dieting. I love the flexibility in my food choices. I love that I am able to go and enjoy meals with friends without restrictions. I am not saying that this is the best diet for everyone. However, it works best for me and I have been able to meet and surpass my weight loss goals. My goal was 135! My original weight was 167 plus and I am now 127 pounds. My weight fluctuates between 127 and 130. 

Today's meal was pizza. My family and I went to East Side Mario's. We enjoyed caesar salad and garlic loaf as an appetizer. Then we all had our individual pizzas. I ate so much salad that I was not able to finish my pizza.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 301!


Hi everyone: It's day 301 of omad! Summer is finally here. Today I was shocked when I tried on a pair of my shorts. I was shocked that the shorts were too big. Last year on this very date, the shorts that I tried on were so tight. However, in denial of my weight. I still wore them. Today they were so big. I think it's time to buy some new summer clothes. My original pre-weight loss shorts were a size 14. I am now wearing a size 4. It's weird writing that I am a size 4. Keep in mind that my skinny 15-year-old daughter is a size 5. Wow! Omad I love you! Today's dinner was platinum steak tenderloin and scrambled eggs. I had about 2 pounds of steak and four eggs. This meal was so satisfying and filling.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 300!

Hi everyone: It's day 300 of omad! Wow! Three hundred days of one meal a day is currently a milestone. I must tell you that I owe a debt of gratitude to apple cider vinegar and black seed oil for helping me. Both have helped to suppress my appetite during my fasting times. There are thousands of videos about apple cider vinegar for weight loss but I do believe that what it does is help with the appetite. I can fast for hours. Actually 20 hours plus without feeling hungry.
This week I did struggle with acid reflux because I had stopped drinking the apple cider vinegar. Instead, I had increased my coffee intake. I realize now that coffee is a huge trigger for my reflux. Note to self: Use apple cider vinegar before reflux attacks. So use for preventive digestive issues. However, it can be used instead of antacids. I haven't had a coffee since Monday. My digestion is back to normal and I am feeling great. You would think that not drinking coffee during the day would make me feel tired. However, fasting really energizes me. Today's meal was steak. For dessert, I had a huge mango that I shared with my daughter. We also had some popcorn with butter while watching TV. All of my yummy food was consumed during my 4-hour eating window.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 299! Acid reflux!

Hi everyone: It's day 299 of omad! I love asparagus. It's my fave vegetable. Asparagus has many vital vitamins and nutrients. I have read that it supports digestion. However, in my case, it does not support my digestion. In fact, eating too much of it causes me to have acid reflux. Last night I had asparagus and steak for dinner. Two hours later I had a reflux attack which kept me up until 3 am in the morning. The only thing that helped was apple cider vinegar. Please do your research friends. What is acid reflux? Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), also known as acid reflux, is a long-term condition where stomach contents come back up into the esophagus resulting in either symptoms or complications. ... It is due to poor closure of the lower esophageal sphincter (the junction between the stomach and the esophagus).

If you experience reflux it may be wise to also avoid alcohol, caffeinated drinks, chocolate and citrus juices. It is important to keep a food diary to figure out which foods trigger your reflux because everyone is different.


When I have just meat. I have zero issues with reflux. Sometimes I have to come back to eating only meat as my base to resolve my reflux issues. Today I only eliminated coffee. My meal was chicken wings, steak and for dessert, I had sunflower seeds and avocado slush. My body love avocado slush. It is so easy on my tummy. I make it by blending five avocados with 1/4 cup of heavy cream and 2 tablespoons of raw honey. I share this dessert with my husband. We both get about 2 cups fulls. It is so good and so filling. I also shared a mango with my teenage daughter. She will only eat fruit if she sees me eating it. So I usually cut up enough for both because she also gives me that look of...Can I have some? Yes please...I always say.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 298!

Hi everyone: It's day 298 of omad! This is a continuation of what can you eat on omad? There are zero restrictions. Some people do keto-omad and have been very successful. This is a really clean way of eating and I do try to stick to this way of eating. However, I do at times eat junk food. My omad meals are meat based. I would recommend that you try to make healthy choices for your one meal a day. Just remember that if you are not eating healthy it is very important to supplement due to lost nutrients. Everyone is different so experiment with your fasting times and eating windows. Some people seem to do better with 18:6. However, my body loves 20:4. My body has gotten familiar with omad. Therefore, I do not get hungry during my fasting time. I do notice that if I am stressed I will feel hungry but is it really hunger? My advice to you... try to make educated decisions regarding omad and don't forget to do your research. Check with your doctor but also be your own doctor as well. Food diaries are great tools to take to your doctor visits. This blog has become my food journey. Thank you for following me on my journey!
Today's meal was a gigantic 2 pound T-bone steak and asparagus. I ate a lot of asparaguses. I hope the amount that I ate does not affect my acid reflux issues. I also had some crackers and cheese an hour after my meal. They were not the healthiest crackers. Mostly junk food crackers. More like the chip variety.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 297! Omad restrictions!


Hi everyone: It's day 297 of omad! You are probably wondering are there any restrictions while doing the one meal a day diet. Everyone's fasting time is different. For example, if your fasting time is 23 hours and you have a one-hour eating window. There are zero eating restrictions. However, my eating window is 4 hours and I fast for 20 hours. I do not have any eating restrictions but I do like to eat clean. Sometimes that is not the case. But for me, I need to have that plan in the back of my mind or I will get lazy and lean more towards junk food. As for beverages, you can drink water, teas, or coffee. Personally, for me, I drink only water. I do add 1 or 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar to about 500 MLS of water sometimes. I use the apple cider vinegar for my digestion, specifically, it helps my acid reflux. When I do not eat clean my acid reflux flares up. Today's dinner was one of my favourite omad meals, bacon, eggs, and chicken crackling. So good!

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 296! No more yo-yo dieting!

Hi everyone: It's day 296 of omad! I am almost at my 300-day mark! Which makes me think about why I love omad so much! No more yo-yo dieting! I remember the days of yo-yo dieting. I started my first diet when I was 13 years old. I tried countless diets. None of them worked. Omad started as a challenge and now it has become a lifestyle. If I get invited to go out for a meal, I can go. I don't have to tell them what I am doing. I don't have to deal with all the questions or feel guilty because I have started yet another diet. It is great that if I want to enjoy something fun where food is involved, I don't have to feel guilty. Food is no longer my enemy. I know that I can eat a large volume of food at my eating window without any guilt. What a wonderful feeling? Today's meal was T-bone steak. This steak was about 2 pounds and I ate every bit of it. It had planned to eat some berries for dessert but I was so full!
