Hi everyone: It's day 204 of omad and day 20 of the carnivore diet. I'm feeling better today. I've decided to continue the challenge. I have come so far and it would be a shame to stop just because of boredom. I wanted to do 30 days to really assess and review this carnivore diet. So 30 days I will do. I have decided to avoid restaurants for the remainder of this challenge. I am finding that just eating meat when you are out for dinner can be very expensive and not satisfying. Especially, if I am trying the keep the meals sugar and carb free. It is almost near impossible.
I am noticing that the customer gets a small piece of meat and the rest is just filler. The filler is the veggies. I'm fine with this because I love to cook at home anyway. Today was a day spent at the mall with my daughter. Yes, I was very tempted by the food court meals and especially that Tim Horton's coffee and treats such as donuts but I did not give in. Only 10 more days to go. My digestion is still great. My skin is getting better every day. Today I had attempted to eat two steaks. However, I was only able to eat one and a bit. My daughter was kind enough to help me finish the other steak.
I have been cooking the same for my family. However, I have been adding carbs to my teen daughter's plate. She loves veggies, rice, and pasta. She has actually decreased her dairy intake and I am amazing at her skin. She does not have as many acne breakouts. As for my husband has fruit in the morning and meat only for lunch. Now, this is a guy that could do the carnivore diet, no problem. He doesn't have sugar or junk food cravings. If junk is not in the house he will not eat it. He loves the carnivore diet. He has been doing a lazy form of the diet. He is surprised that he has lost weight by eating fatty cuts of meat.
