OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 215! Day 30 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 215 of omad. It is also day 30 of the carnivore diet! Omg!!! I did it. I completed another challenge. I ate zero carbs for one month!!!! Wow! I ate only meat for one month!!! I had so many fears going into this but I just took a leap of faith. I am so happy I did this. I am also really happy that I took exercise out of the equation for the month. Not exercising helped me to see the fat burner aspect of the carnivore diet that so many people have been raving about.

Before this challenge, I would do about an hour of cardio because I really wanted to see my abs but nothing. Just changing the way that I ate and now I can actually see the start of my abs. I am in shock actually.

Also, I had zero fiber for a month and my digestion was the best it has ever been. I don't know. I will admit that I do miss my daily walks and I can't wait to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather. I will absolutely go for at least a one hour walk tomorrow. I can't wait.

Today's dinner was surf and turf. I thought that this meal would be a great way to end the challenge. I will continue eating meat for the next two days. I will take a break on the weekend. I would like to see how I feel after introducing veggies and dairy again. My husband and I didn't celebrate Valentine's Day on Feb 14th due to the challenge. We will be celebrating this weekend. OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 214! Day 29 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 214 of omad and day 29 of the carnivore diet! I'm still feeling great! One of the things that I miss. I really miss exercise. I  miss working out. It's so funny that months ago it was such a struggle to work out! It's funny to me that I now crave it. The things that we deny are the things that we want. Yesterday and today...the weather was so beautiful outside. I really wanted to go for a long 1 to 2-hour walk but I didn't. I decided that it was best to stay true to the parameter of this challenge which was zero exercise.

Today's dinner was steak and wings. I love wings. I only eat the flats and my husband loves the drums. I love the skin on the flats and I find this part to be tender, not hard like the drums. Are you a flat person or a drumstick person? I thought I was the only person in the world that only ate flats.  My daughter and husband loves both.

Whenever I go out to restaurants and ask for flats the waitress or waiter always gave me a weird look. Sometimes it seems like a big deal. If it's a wing place, it no problem but if it's not. I always get this response. I will have to ask the cook. What's the big deal anyway? Just separate several flats and cook em. Majority of people like drums so I'm not clear about the fuss for such a simple request.

So I always thought that I was the only person on the planet that preferred them. My Instagram friends surprised me by telling me that I wasn't the only one. I love them because they are juicer and I love the skin of the chicken best. My meal was delicious by the way. So do you prefer wings or drums? Let me know in the comments.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 213! Day 28 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 213 of the omad! It's also day 28 of the carnivore diet! Only 2 more days to go and I'm really proud of myself for doing this challenge. I have stopped the diary for now and my face is clearing up. So I now know that I do have some issues with dairy. Today's dinner was steak and chicken cracklings. I love making them but most of all I love eating them. When I started the carnivore diet I really missed chips but with these chicken cracklings. I don't miss chips at all. The next time we go to see a movie I will be bringing these as my snacks. They were so good. I used chicken skins from about 8 chicken thighs. OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 212! Day 27 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 212 of omad and day 27 of the carnivore diet! I'm still feeling great! I had this gigantic ribeye steak for dinner. My husband and daughter had jerk chicken and I made steak for myself. When I am the only one having steak I use my George Foreman Grill and I love it. I bought my grill from Amazon 8 years ago and it is still working. I love that it doesn't take up very much counter space. I absolutely love it! It's great for grilling steaks. I like my steak medium rare. So I cooked it for 6 minutes. Three minutes on each side. I have to admit that it was so filling and I wasn't able to eat it all by myself. My husband helped me.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 211! Day 26 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 211 of omad and day 26 of the carnivore diet. Only 4 more days of this challenge. My only update to report is: I feel great and I am so happy I did this! I can't wait to do the update video and share my thoughts with you all. Today's dinner was steak of course, topped with gigantic garlic shrimp. Usually, we eat out on Saturday but we decided to have dinner at home. This is great for me because I am not faced with the temptation of mall food. It's easier on the budget. Because I am only eating steaks our dinners at restaurants are becoming too expensive. I love my stove top grill and I think that I am becoming an expert when it comes to grilling steaks. OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 210! Day 25 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 210 of omad and day 25 of the carnivore diet. I'm coming very close to the end of my challenge and I have been asked many questions. Today I wanted to address the most common questions:
Have you experienced any benefits?
Great sleep, zero bloating, great digestion, zero breakouts, skin is clearing up, weight loss

Should I try it?
I can't really answer that. I think that you should consult with your doctor first and do your research.

Can you have almond milk?
I eliminated dairy for the first 18 days of the challenge. After having a bit of cheese I woke up with a greasy face and acne breakout. I recommend eliminating coffee, sugar, all artificial sweeteners, dairy to get the full benefits.

Any tips?
Check with your doctor first.
The best day to start is at the beginning of the week because it's easier to implement into your routine.
I would do the ketogenic diet first because carnivore is a step up from the keto diet.
I would work up to a 30-day challenge because at around the 7-day mark the sugar cravings are very intense.
Eat steak and drink lots of water.
No calorie counting.
Ribeyes, porterhouses or filet mignons are I think the best cuts of steak. Don't worry about the grass feed. Just buy what you can afford.
Take a before and after pic. Step on that scale.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 209! Day 24 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 209 of omad and day 24 of the carnivore diet! I woke up this morning feeling great. One of the wonderful benefits of this diet is beautiful blissful sleep. I slept so deep. I did not wake up at all. I slept completely through the night. I'm not sure how it is possible to feel rested after only 7 hours of sleep but I do. When I do wake up I feel so rested and recharged. I think with the elimination of sugar, carbs, and caffeine. My system is certainly being reset and I love it!

Now I'm really torn. Do I continue with this diet or do keto along with it. Btw...I will continue to do omad. It is everything to me now. Omad is a lifestyle choice and habit now. When I'm fasting I do drink a lot of water. Actually, I drink 65 ounces of water a day. I love the benefits of the carnivore diet but I also love the variety in my meals. Only six more days. So I have to make a decision soon. Keto...carnivore...keto-carnivore? I don't know yet.

What was on the menu today? Steak and bacon. I have no idea how many pounds but it was a massive T-bone steak and I had 6 slices of bacon. Today I really hungry and I ate the entire steak. So days I am hungry and some days I am not. I really think it has to do with what I ate the night before.

My meal was delicious. I have a strange observation. Steak is something that the body seems to be always hungry for. I was at a point where I was getting sick of eating steak. I think I'm over that feeling now. I love steak. My body loves it too. Let's see how I feel tomorrow.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 208! Day 23 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's Day 208 of omad and day 23 of the carnivore diet challenge. Today's carnivore omad meal was steak and chicken wings. I have been adding seasoning to my steak and wings. I add salt, pepper, and paprika. I have decided to exclude diary because I have noticed that it does aggravate my acne.

The benefits of this diet are amazing so far: great sleep, zero acne breakouts, great digestion and zero bloating. I have weighed myself and my total weight loss is still 6 pounds. So I have surpassed my original goal weight of 135 pounds. When I started the carnivore diet I was 134 pounds. My weight current weight is now 128 pounds.
First week weight loss: 4 pounds
Second week weight loss: 6 pounds
Third week weight loss: 0
For anyone considering this diet, please check with your diet doctor first. I really feel that this is a step up from the ketogenic diet. If you have stalled on keto, the carnivore diet is certainly something that you should research.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 207! Day 22 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!

 
Hi everyone: It's day 204 of omad and day 22 of the carnivore diet. Today's meal was a gigantic T-bone steak. There are times when I really feel sick of steak. Today was one of those days. At approximately 12:30pm, I started to think about my upcoming meal. "I cannot consume another steak", I thought. I need some vegetables. I have watched so many youtube videos and read so many blogs and my experience seems so different. I am so many cravings. I have 8 days left and I can't wait to eat a huge salad. Many people say that they eventually lose their cravings. I wonder how long it will take for me to get to that point. I will say that I am loving all of the benefits. My skin is so soft and pimple free. My digestion is the best that it has ever been and I am sleeping so great.

I get these cravings but during my fast only. Then a couple of hours before I eat. My mind completely changes and then I actually look forward to eating my steak. How strange is that? I start to imagine the deliciousness of the steak that I am about to eat in a few hours. The boredom goes away. The need for variety and greens also disappears. That first bite of my steak is just magical. I wonder if people that have been eating nothing but meat are at that point where their only desire is for meat. The desire for sugar, junk, cakes etc goes away because a new habit has been formed.

In any event, this meal was delicious. I'm looking forward to vlogging in detail about the benefits that I have experienced during this journey. I can't believe that this journey ends in 8 days. Sitting here fasting, I will admit that I do miss certain things such as coffee with cream and molasses. Also mangos and asparagus. I am looking forward to tasting something sweet.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 206! Day 21 of 30 of the Carnivore diet!


Hi everyone: It's day 204 of omad and day 21 of the carnivore diet. Last night we went to see the movie Black Panther and it was amazing. I brought some snacks with me because I knew I would be hit with the "popcorn cravings". I made a steak for dinner and also made some chicken cracklings. They are a great keto and carnivore snack. You can find the recipe here. Chicken Cracklings. I also took some baby belle cheese with me. I haven't had any cheese since the start of the challenge. This morning I woke up to a greasy face and a few pimples. Ugh...as my daughter would say. What the hell! So could cheese be the cause of my acne? I have to keep an eye on this situation.
