OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 130!


Hi everyone: It's Day 130 of 365 days of omad seeing these two numbers side by side puts things into perspective. I love omad... fasting then feasting. That is pretty much what it is. I wish I could describe the first 3 bites of my one and only meal of the day. 

I'm still doing keto but I'm doing the lazy version. I'm extremely happy about my weight. I'm currently at 130.4 and holding. However, I really want to tone up. I don't want to join a gym. I love to walk so I have been walking but before I go for my daily walk. I have been doing Tae-Bo and I love it. Thank you, Billy Blanks. Because of this weight loss, omad and keto I have so much energy. Here is what I ate today. I'm loving my snack plates too. 

What I ate today: 
Dessert/snack plate: @kzcleaneatinginc organic crisp bread @cocopolosuperfood almond chocolate @lovemyphilly and @parmcrisps 

I've depleted my stash of sugar-free hazelnut chocolate that @cocopolosuperfood was kind enough to send me. I will be on the hunt tomorrow for more. I'm on a mission. That hazelnut is very popular.  Also pictured here coffee with cream and my fave sweetener the keto-friendly/gray hair reverser blackstrap molasses.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 129!

Hi everyone: It's day 129 of omad! Today I was craving pizza but I'm still on the keto train and I had to come up with a way to eat pizza without all of the carbs. I found some interesting recipes online...such as the fathead pizza, and also the cauliflower crust pizza. I wanted something quick so I just grated some cheese. I put it on parchment paper, cut up some pepperoni and popped it in the oven at 400 degrees. Btw...I used 2 cups of cheese but feel to use as many cups as you like. Once the pepperoni appeared to look ready and the edges of the cheese appeared a little crispy. I removed the pizza from the oven. I let it cool for about 5 mins then I gently moved it to my plate with my spatula. Now for the taste test! This pizza was the bomb. It was delicious why haven't I made this before. So good! I used a knife and fork to eat this bad boy! Here is the rest of my meal!

Dinner: salad, and 5 pieces of bacon.
Dessert: strawberries, coffee with cream and blackstrap molasses
Even before starting keto and omad I've loved my snacks. So I decided that I'm going to continue. What's on my snack plate? Check out my blog tomorrow and you find out!

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 128!


Hi everyone: It's day 128 of omad! Today's delicious dinner was jerk chicken wings, Cesar salad, and bacon. My snack plate consisted of @kzcleaneatinginc organic chia crisp bread. INGREDIENTS: Water, sesame seeds, chia seeds, psyllium husk powder, flax seeds, wheat bran, and salt. Today was my first time trying them. They are delicious with cream cheese but expensive. The package contained 5 circular crisp bread coated with chia seeds. It looked good. This is something that I would definitely add to a gift basket. Calories clocked in at 125 per 1/8 slice. I calculated .5 net carbs for this keto-friendly snack. I don't count calories. I eat until I am full. However, I thought you might be curious about the calorie count of the crisp bread. 


Also, I ended my meal with 6 pieces of @cocopolosuperfood almond chocolate bar and a coffee with heavy cream and blackstrap molasses.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 127!


Hi everyone: Today is day 127 of omad and I've been doing keto for over a month. Just a re-cap for new readers. I eat one meal a day. I fast normally for 23 hours daily and have an eating window of 1 hour. Today I fasted for 22 hours and I had an eating window of 2 hours. I started with my main meal breakfast for dinner. 
What's on the menu today? Oven baked bacon, scrambled eggs, one avocado. I'm still on the keto train but I'm doing keto my way. Fruit is a no-no on the ketogenic diet. Once again today. I was craving fruit. So I had a huge bowl of blackberries. Please don't report me to the keto police. I ended my meal with @cocopolosuperfood chocolate. Hazelnut is my fave but today I had the almond milk chocolate bar. That hazelnut bar is very popular and the bulk barn is having a hard time keeping it on the self. The hazelnut bar no sugar added bar is so delicious I could eat it with every meal. It is sweetened with stevia with zero weird stevia aftertaste. It's only 4 net grams of carbs for a half a bar. Can't beat that...it is extremely keto friendly. I also had coffee with cream and blackstrap molasses as my sweetener.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 126! My first 30 days of the keto diet!

Hi everyone: It's day 126 of omad! I wanted to share with you all my thoughts about my first 30 days of trying the keto diet. I'm starting to realize that everybody's journey on keto is very different. If you have been doing keto for a while or if you are new to keto I'd love to hear from you. Check out my video here: 

I decided that omad works best for me but I'm still going to continue with keto to help maintain my weight loss. However, I'm going to do keto my way. I am not a fan of restrictions. As I mentioned in my video, I love my fruit so I will still have them but in moderation. Please google the benefits of keto. I will find that the benefits are many!
Here is what I ate today! 
Dinner: chicken, roasted brussel sprouts, and coleslaw
Dessert: coco polo hazelnut, blackberries, and kombucha 

I covered my brussel sprouts with coconut oil and garlic. Roasted them on parchment paper for 15 minutes. Then I topped with cheese. I'm not a fan of sprouts but I must say they were good!

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 125! McDonalds Canada coffee promotion!

Hello everyone: It's day 125 of omad! My goal is to reach 365 days of eating one meal a day! So far I love it. I love challenges.  Eating one meal a day is easier than you think. Once the body gets familiar with a new way of eating on a regular basis. It adapts. I feel so much better eating this way. I sleep better. I feel that my health and digestion is much better.  I am not a fan of restrictive eating, weighing food and calorie counting. Omad certainly works for me. I'm so happy that I found this lifestyle.



I broke my fast early today! I usually break my fast at 5pm and enjoy dinner. Today I was out shopping and I decided to have lunch with my daughter at @mcdonaldscanada They have a promotion right now....a coffee any size for 1.00 I was surprised because I am not a fan of McDonald's coffee. I ordered a medium but I should have ordered a large. The coffee was really good. Promo ends December 10th! After this promotion, I will certainly buy their coffee again. I also had the ketogenic friendly caesar salad with grilled chicken. So good! This is my favourite salad. Just add your dressing. Shake and eat! I'm so full What a satisfying meal.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 124!


Hi everyone: It's Day 124 of omad! It's breakfast for dinner today!
Dinner: Baked zucchini noodles with cheese. I added two fried eggs. I can't have eggs without bacon. I always bake my bacon at 400 degrees for 20 mins to get super crispy bacon. Flipping it every 5 mins ensures a evenly cooked deliciousness. 

I am so happy it's Friday. I'm looking forward to spending some time with my family. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 122! Raw rev protein bar snack review!

Hi everyone: It's day 122 of omad and I'm still on the keto train. Today I tried a couple of new keto snacks. I bought these at the low carb grocery store in Markham Ontario. 
The raw rev protein bar. The cost was 2.88 per bar. They are less sweet than other bars. And they didn't seem to trigger my sugar cravings. The sugar, calories, and carbs are low and the protein content is good. I really like these bars. They are soft and a little bit chewy. If you like peanut butter these are great. Very satisfying snack. My intention was to only eat half. I ended up eating the whole bar. I will be buying them again!
I also tried the "Just the Cheese. At only 75 calories, 5 grams of protein and 1 gram of carbs per serving I cannot think of a spicer, salty treat to indulge in. Especially, if you are on a keto diet. The package is very small only 1/2 an oz. The taste is very much like the crunchy cheese that gets stuck on your parchment paper when baking. This flavor that I bought was extremely spicy which I loved. I will be buying them again!

Snacks: protein bar, cheese snacks, coffee with cream and molasses

OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 121!


Hi everyone: It's day 121 of omad! This morning I went for a long walk. I walked about 10 kilometers. In the next few months, my walks are going to limited due to the snow and bad weather. I'm still going to do a light workout in the morning. Possibly I will do my Billy Blanks workouts.

I was so hungry today. However, I still fasted for 21 hours and I had an eating window of 3 hours. Whenever I have a longer eating window I do find myself snacking even after I have had my meal. I snacked on so many things today...parmesan crisps, keto bread with cream cheese, blueberries and pumpkin seeds.

Dinner: steak with mushroom gravy and homemade coleslaw
