Hi everyone: It's day 180 of omad! I am at my 6-month intermittent fasting milestone and I feel great! I have tons of energy.
Just to give a recap! I started my journey on July 17, 2017, and I basically wanted to lose weight. Years ago I did the restrictive, low-fat diets. I lost weight but I would gain it back and more. I had basically given up. I stopped trying to lose weight.
Last summer I noticed that the clothes that had fit me so comfortably were starting to get really tight. One of my biggest mistakes was...I got very comfortable. I wore legging most of the time so the leggings grew with me. I made a decision that would change my life. I decided that I was going to change. I wanted to make a change for my health and self-esteem. I started with drinking a gallon of water a day and I did some challenges which I enjoyed. Then one of my youtube subscribers asked me if I had ever seen any weight loss results from using black seed oil. Some months back I had posted a video testimonial about my year of taking black seed oil and what it had done for me. You can view the video here.
At the beginning of the journey, I was so scared to weight myself. So I didn't. That is a regret. I wish I had also taken more pictures. When my size 14 jeans started to get loose, I finally had the courage to weight myself. 167 the scale showed. I instantly snapped a pic and thought...wow I weighted 170 when I was 9 months pregnant with my daughter. Seeing the number motivated me to continue.
Continuing with black seed oil, omad, keto and with minimum exercise. I reached my goal weight 3 months later. At the time I was fine with 135 pounds (October 17, 2017), I am now at my new goal weight of 130 pounds. I have learned that once an intention is set. Anything is possible. There is not one way of achieving a goal. I combined quite a few different methods and they worked for me. When I started... it was to lose weight at any cost. Then it was all of nothing. Now it’s about balance, me eating nutrient density foods for my omad, happiness, lowered body stress. I have learned that I am one determined woman.
Today's I'm celebrating my 6 month #omad #anniversary The first month I felt hungry during the fasting hours. Yes, The hunger does go away. Why???#onemealaday has become a habit.
