I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 13! #OMAD #Intermittentfasting


Hey guys: This is Day 13 of omad! I love eating this way. I have a new appreciation for food. Everything taste so good. Every bite is amazing. I have a new found appreciation for food. I have so much time to do other things. I didn't realize how much time food took away from my life. The shopping for it... the preparing it. Our grocery bill is decreasing as well as my waistline.

Dinner: a huge rib eye steak with mushroom gravy and veggies

Hey guys: I am on Day 12 of omad! I have been posting what I have been eating on Instagram. I am really impressed with the one a meal day and keto community. Everyone is so supportive. I encourage all of you to come on over to Instagram. Doing this alone is not fun. It's great to be in the company of like-minded people.

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 11! #OMAD #Intermittentfasting



Hey guys: I am on Day 11 of omad and it's the weekend!!! Yasss!!! Weekends are a little tough because I am around food constantly. However, I waited to indulge in my favorite meal of all...wings!  I only eat the flats. I love my wings extra crispy. I didn't drink an entire gallon of water today. I ate at my usual time... 5pm!

Dinner: honey garlic wings with a side caesar salad...I ate every single wing.
Dessert: just a coffee with cream and blackstrap molasses

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 10! #OMAD #Intermittentfasting



Hey guys: I am on Day 10 of omad and going strong. I have not cheated or binged. I am so happy about this. How have I made it to Day 10 without even a small cheat? My thoughts...Having my one meal at dinner (between 5pm - 6pm) is a great advantage. I am in bed 4 hours later. I sleep for 8 hours of the fast. Also drinking lots of water. I have stayed away from temptation. I believe my supplement of black seed oil has also helped as well. My jeans seem to be getting looser. What a great motivation.

Dinner: Bacon, eggs, avocado, and beans (too full to finish the beans)
Dessert: watermelon, papaya, coffee (with cream and blackstrap molasses)

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 9! #OMAD #Intermittentfasting


Hey guys: It's Day 9 of my one meal a day experiment. Another day of craving fats and sugar. I've decided to continue with the one meal a day for one month. Here is what I ate today!

Dinner: teriyaki chicken with cooked veggies
Dessert: chocolate dip donut, coffee with cream and blackstrap molasses


What I ate today! Day 9 #omad I consider myself apart of the #omadrevolution I fast for 23 hours and my eating window is 1 hour. I eat between 5pm-6pm. I have also tried #intermittenfasting fast my eating window ranged between 4 to 6 hours. Through trail and error that large window does not work for me. #bingeater πŸ’₯Foods eaten today: Btw i eat whatever I want during my eating window. #noguilt I am finding that I am not able to eat all of my food that I craved. I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 7! OMAD Intermittent fasting



Hey guys: It's Day 7 of my one meal a day experiment. Once again today, my eyes were bigger than my stomach. Here is my plate of food but I was not able to finish. Don't worry. I am drinking plenty of water during my fasting period of 23 hours. Actually, I am drinking up to a gallon per day. I am feeling healthy and happy. Here is what I ate today...

Dinner: chicken thighs, salad, avocado

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 6! OMAD Intermittent fasting


My thoughts so far...this is not a diet. This way of eating gives ME control for the first time in my life. So many fears were attached to even trying omad. Eat whatever you want but just once a day. I am amazed that for the first time in my life that I can actually eat all the food I craved in that 23 hour fasting period. Sweets and all. However, when it's time to eat I'm not actually able to eat all that I craved. Was I actually feeling hungry? It is getting easier. I am feeling an energy that I have never felt before. I feel so good! When I ate 3 meals a day, my energy was nothing like this. 


Here is what I ate on Day 6! I'm still eating leftover chicken chow mein. A month ago, I would have eaten the entire container without a thought. I'm sure an hour later I would be looking for snacks to eat while watching tv. Anyway, I ate a small portion of my meal. I am getting full so fast. I guess that's what happens when you fast 23 hours daily. Again, I enjoyed my dessert which was fruit and coffee. Yum! I'm loving omad!

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 5! OMAD Intermittent fasting


Hey guys: It's Day 5 of my one meal a day experiment. Fasting during the week was a little bit easier than today. It's the weekend and I love spending time with my family. We all love to eat together. My daughter was scheduled to cover a music festival in downtown Toronto. Our plan: Take her there and make it into a family day. I packed my water and I was determined to stick with my experiment. My husband and daughter ate breakfast at 9 am. At around 12:30pm both my daughter and husband wanted to go eat lunch. I went with them and they ate. I drank my water. For the first time since I started omad I didn't feel hungry. I felt tempted. Walking around that food court at the Eaton Centre was painful. The yummy smells, the food, the desserts...I wanted to eat. Not because I was truly hungry but because my husband and child were eating. I was determined to not break my fast. I prevailed and I didn't eat. Instead, I decided that I would buy some chicken chow mein and take it home...that would be my dinner.

Here is what I ate on Day 5! When we got home at 6pm, I enjoyed my dinner but I was only able to eat 1/4 of it. It was delicious. My cookie and coffee was the best part of this meal. I noticed that my shorts are feeling looser. The shorts I wore this morning are usually very tight. Wow! What's happening here. My shorts are loose so I know I'm losing weight. So I just had to get on that scale. Wow! I'm so happy that I didn't weight myself Day One. Sorry, I can't share my weight number just yet but I've decided to continue with this. My goal weight is 130 pounds. I know that I'm loosing but the number that I saw on that scale is shocking. I am five pounds less than what I weighed when I was 9 months pregnant. I am overweight. This number just motivates me to continue will omad. I do wonder....How much did I lose this week? I don't want to know. It's time to stay positive and determined. I've got this.

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - DAY 4! OMAD Intermittent fasting


Hey guys: It's Day 4 of my one meal a day experiment. I had times during the day when I felt hungry but I drank water and kept busy. The one thing that kept me going was this thought...I'm going to finish that chicken that I couldn't finish yesterday. Dinner time arrived btw...I am eating my one meal a day at 5pm and I have given myself a one-hour time frame to finish. This amount of time is plenty for me. I prepared my plate...

Here is what I ate on Day 4! I couldn't wait to eat my chicken. Again today I could only eat one piece. I could not finish my cucumbers. However, I was able to finish my fruit and coffee. Some of my new followers on Instagram expressed concern that I wasn't getting enough calories. Honestly, I wish I could have eaten more. It's amazing to me that when I ate three meals a day I had no trouble eating 3 times the amount that was before me. The amount that I ate today got me so full. Could omad/intermittent fasting be the cure for obesity? Omad stands for one meal a day. So basically you consume all of your calories in one meal. Intermittent fasting is cycling between a period of fasting and non-fasting.

When I would eat 3 meals a day, I found myself always hungry. I would reach for between meal snacks. I ate from the time I woke up until bedtime. I even found myself suffering from acid reflux. One of the recommendations that my doctor gave me was to stop eating at least 4 hours before going to bed. How interesting...

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 3!


Hey guys: It's Day 3 of my one meal a day experiment. I was absolutely starving. I dealt with the hungry be keeping busy and sticking to my decision to stay hydrated. I decided to drink at least 1 gallon of water a day during this weight loss journey. I knew the water would keep my belly full and the hunger at bay. I couldn't wait to eat my meal. I had everything planned. Popeye's chicken for dinner! Done!

Here is what I ate on Day 3! I felt such guilt that I was so focused on the fried chicken. Ok, I will have a bowl of fruit also. I dreamed of eating at least 4 pieces of chicken but I could only eat one piece.  How could this be? I couldn't eat the rice and only had a few bites of the biscuits. What the heck is happening here? I haven't eaten for 23 hours. I can't believe I'm not ravenous with this food. I took a 10 min break and had some fruit but couldn't finish that either. I was able to finish my coffee. I'm am wondering if it is true? Is the black seed oil that I have been taking suppressing my appetite.

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 2!


Hey guys: It's Day 2 of my one meal a day experiment. I drank lots of water before bed but I still felt hungry. As I laid in bed, I worried that because this was day 2 and I hadn't consumed as many calories as I had expected. I didn't think I would be able to function during the day. Lucky for me that I work from home. When I woke up, I was surprised by the energy that I felt. However, my thoughts went to food. "Only ten more hours until I can eat," I thought. Then I took a big swing of my gallon of water. I'm sure that you are wondering what is my starting weight. I have no idea and I have no intentions of weighing myself. My clothes should give me an idea of whether I am losing or not. I can't fit into any of my jeans so I know that I have gained quite a bit in this year. I started to wear leggings and honestly. I didn't even notice the weight gain. Maybe I was in denial.

I EAT ONE MEAL A DAY! - OMAD Intermittent fasting DAY 1!



Hello: I was having such great success with using black seed oil for weight loss that I thought I would push myself even more. I'm not watching what I eat. I am simply taking two teaspoons of black seed oil two times daily. I am also adding 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to my water twice daily. You would think that I would be happy with my success. It's just hard to believe that doing these basic things are helping me to shed weight. Hmmm, what if I pushed myself a little more? I'm seeing so many videos about omad. What is omad? Omad stands for one meal a day. So basically you consume all of your calories in one meal. I decided that if I gave this a try I would eat my meal between 5-6pm. Eating at least one meal with my family is really important to me. 


Watching these omad/fasting videos...honestly...my thoughts...These people are crazy...14 hours...16 hours...23 hours without eating...that's nuts. But I'm hearing about amazing weight loss/health benefits....and the spiritual part intrigues me too...Ok I have got to try this. I was successful with fasting for 14 hours. Then 16. Then 18. So I started a new experiment. I wanted to see what would happen if I fasted for 23 hours. Would I make it? Would I starve? Would I die? I guess I'm nuts too. After completing my fast, I decided that I wanted to post my meals daily on Instagram. If you are considering this journey I encourage you to do the same. I hope you will let me know via Instagram. I am hopeful that you are curious to see where I am on my journey. Hopefully, my success will help you too. Hmmm...we shall see.
Here is what I ate after my very first 23 hours fast.  I was so hungry and happy to be alive. lol
Dinner: A bowl of pasta with spaghetti sauce topped with meatballs
Dessert: A bowl of fruit (watermelon, pineapple, blackberries, and papaya) Coffee with cream and one tablespoon of blackstrap molasses. My food tasted so f.... good! Yes it did!

Confession: I had obsessive thoughts about this meal hours before I ate it. I imagined myself eating more but this was all I could eat. I couldn't finish the pasta or fruit. For informational purposes only: I think I ate under 1000 calories for the day which was under my usual calorie intake. I had so much energy but with less food. How strange.

Black seed oil for WEIGHT LOSS!


Hello everyone: I wanted to share with you, my review of black seed oil for weight loss. As some of you know, I have been using black seed oil for over one year. My testimonial "Black Seed Oil Review - 1-year journey!" Some questions stood out to me that I received via Instagram. What would happen if you stopped taking this supplement? Will you have to take it forever? Only one way to find out....I decided to stop taking this supplement for one month. I didn't have the answer but I was curious also. Here are some of my thoughts....Would I immediately get a cold? Would my immunity crash. I have to admit...I was worried but I was determined to find the answer.  I felt anxious that I would get sick or that the benefits would go away. I am happy to say that the benefits that I experience stayed. I have still remained without a cold or flu. I'm not sure what the science is regarding why that happened but I'm happy to now that if I do run out I'm ok.



Some of my subscribers also asked me if black seed oil was beneficial for weight loss. I did some research and found that yes, it is great for weight loss but I had to find out for myself. 

This is my review and update. The brand that I have been using is called Kare and Hope. Check out my video blog regarding my weight loss journey using black seed oil.


My first week of this journey I lost 4lbs. I combined this journey with apple cider vinegar and increased my water intake drastically. The cost for a 250 ml bottle was 29.99 at my local health food store but you can also buy it online on websites such as amazon.com or amazon.ca and the healthy planet. It best stored in the fridge or in a cool dark place. 

Here is my weight loss recipe:

1 teaspoon of black seed oil on an empty stomach in the morning and before bedtime.
Wait 30 mins
Then take your apple cider vinegar before your breakfast.

Apple Cider Vinegar mixture
- 1 or 2 tablespoons of Braggs apple cider vinegar
- in a glass of water
-  optional add raw organic honey

- optional add cinnamon

Additional tips:
Drink plenty of water
Check with your doctor before starting your journey
